A romance series of interconnected stand-alone novels

Casa del Solbook series

Welcome to Casa del Sol, where a courtyard barbecue can turn into an all-night conversation, your neighbors become your closest friends, and falling in love gives everyone something to talk about.

The series

You came for the ocean view. You stayed for the people.

A few blocks from the beach in Clemente Point, a dozen apartments share one courtyard and a steadily expanding circle of people who show up for each other.

Casa del Sol is an inter-connected stand-alone romance book series set in a Southern California beach town, a 15-minute stroll from the pier. Each book follows a new love story among familiar faces, with ocean mornings, impromptu dinners, game nights, friendships across generations, and feelings that rarely stay private for long. Expect humor, heartfelt romance, and a community you'll want to come back to.

About the author

Meet Kristi

Kristi Creasey picked up a $1 romance novel at a thrift store while camping and got completely sucked into the genre, and she never really came back out. One day, as a creative outlet, she started writing down the wild-eyed daydreams crowding her head, laced with funny moments stolen from real life, and Casa del Sol was born. She's a wife, mom of three young girls, and native Southern Californian. She writes love stories for readers who like the heat but not always the spice.

Close-up illustrated portrait of Olivia facing forward

Olivia

Olivia only meant to borrow a stranger for a video. Take his hand, introduce him to a fake grandmother, give her friends something funny to post. She didn’t plan on Nick playing along quite so convincingly.

Then his family mistakes her for his girlfriend, and correcting them somehow becomes harder than agreeing to attend his brother’s engagement party.

It should be easy. A little pretending, a few family events, and an eventual breakup nobody needs to worry about. Except Nick keeps showing up at Casa del Sol, making friends with her brother, and fitting into her life with alarming ease. For two people who insist they’re putting on a performance, they’re spending an awful lot of time together when nobody’s filming.

“Going viral was easy. Admitting they cared was the hard part.”The first Casa del Sol novel by Kristi Creasey. Coming soon.

Meet the neighbors

There’s always room for another chair.

Some live here. Some show up so often they might as well have a key. One of them even owns the place. These are the people who turn Casa del Sol into home, one shared meal, early surf session, and courtyard conversation at a time.

Naturalistic portrait of Olivia

Olivia

Olivia will say yes to a questionable idea, insist she has everything under control, and stop to take a stranger's family photo. She shares a downstairs apartment with her brother Lawson and loves the life they've built at Casa del Sol. Letting someone into that life is easy. Letting him get close to her heart is another matter.

Portrait of Nick

Nick

Nick came to the pier for a quiet moment and stayed for the people. He's good at playing along and better at paying attention, and somewhere between courtyard dinners and surf mornings, staying starts to sound better than leaving.

Naturalistic portrait of Lawson

Lawson

Olivia's older brother, roommate, and closest friend is equally at home behind the grill, at the gym, or explaining the rules of a group game. He shows his love by taking care of people, including laundry Olivia would happily leave for later. Bring someone new into the courtyard and he'll probably make them a plate.

Naturalistic portrait of Chloe with long blonde hair and blue eyes

Chloe

An elementary teacher who mourns the end of summer while shopping for classroom supplies, Chloe lives upstairs with Sloane. She's happy with a book on the beach, fearless once she hits the surf, and always interested in her friends' romantic developments. Especially the ones they insist aren't romantic.

Naturalistic portrait of Sloane with long dark hair

Sloane

Sloane works in marketing, and that part of her brain rarely clocks out. A funny moment becomes a video idea, a friend's talent becomes a potential business. She shares an apartment with Chloe and sees a marketing angle in absolutely everything.

Naturalistic portrait of Everett

Everett

Everett owns Casa del Sol, though he doesn't live there. Chloe's older brother brings a quiet steadiness to the group, plus a work schedule that sometimes needs interrupting. Fortunately his lifelong friend Miller insists a morning in the ocean belongs on the calendar too.

Naturalistic portrait of Miller with sleek straight dark hair and light stubble

Miller

Everett's lifelong best friend doesn't live at Casa del Sol, but he's around often enough to be the courtyard's unofficial chip supplier. Miller is building a clean-ingredient snack brand with plenty of willing taste testers. He brings easy company, new flavors, and a strong case for taking the morning off to surf. Around here, his latest batch rarely lasts long.

Portrait of Drew with broad athletic shoulders

Drew

Drew has an apartment at Casa del Sol, though his neighbors sometimes see more of his surfboards than of him. When he joins the dawn patrol crew, he has one firm request: no photos, no tags, absolutely no posting. The waves are worth showing up for. The attention is something he'd rather avoid.

Naturalistic portrait of Eric

Eric

Eric is an older guy who comes and goes, but the courtyard crew can count on him when the grill comes out. A police officer with a knack for doing exactly the bare minimum at a barbecue, he'll arrive with napkins or buns and consider his contribution handled.

Lifelike portrait of Aunt Fran

Aunt Fran

Chloe and Everett's great-aunt and unofficial grandma to the rest of the courtyard, Fran makes room for newcomers and notices more than anyone thinks. Pull up a chair for mahjong and you'll also hear a gentle observation about the feelings you thought you were hiding.

Lifelike portrait of Annie

Annie

Fran's best friend since their teenage years, Annie brings decades of shared history and plenty of room for new friendships. She's a familiar face at the mahjong table and another reason nobody at Casa del Sol stays a stranger for long.

Lifelike portrait of MabelLifelike portrait of Walter

Mabel and Walter

Married for decades and still holding hands, Mabel and Walter are part of the courtyard's everyday rhythm. You'll find Mabel with Fran and Annie, and Walter keeping an eye on everyone or joining a game. Together they're a daily glimpse of love that keeps showing up.

By the time you've shared a few dinners, learned everyone's favorite dessert, and stayed for a courtyard game night or movie night, these people start to feel like yours.

Join us for the adventures: gym sessions, beach runs, surf mornings, game nights, movie nights, holidays, and all the little moments in between. There is always something happening at Casa del Sol.
